Subj: Re: Odd young man
From: GiftPantry@aol.com

Recently you posted a comment from    w_huevos@pacbell.net (w_huevos)    who was concerned about a young man following and staring at young boys in our neighborhood. W. Huevos stated he/she didn't know what to do about this. Well, what you do is first notify the police, the school administrators and the neighborhood association groups. They will know what to do.

Secondly, you can go to the new Police Substation at Oakridge and check out the Megan's Computer for sex offenders living in your neighborhood. All you do is type in your zip code, and up pops the photos of all sex offenders living in your area. I would check to see if this guy is in the computer. I think everyone will be astounded to see the number of offenders living in our area.

California has more sex offenders than any other State. Some states have only a couple of hundred or so. New York State has about 2000. California has more than 10,000. Perhaps we could reduce that number if we would intervene when we "see" something that is not right. I am not suggesting that this man Huevos wrote about is a sex offender. What I would say is something is not right with this situation. And for that matter alone, silence or doing nothing is not acceptable.

I hope Huevos will pursue this situation before it leads to another unfortunate statistic.
