Subj: Re: Re: Re: Warning!!!!3 cats in our nieborhood missing From: jona1@ix.netcom.com (Jona Denz-Hamilton) Missing cats can unfortunately be chalked up to coyotes. I found this out in 1997 when a particularly agressive coyote roamed our neighborhood--at least 9 area cats disappeared. We have 2 indoor cats and one semi-feral cat (all licensed). Chase is a spayed outdoor animal who lives 90% of her life in our yard. She also rids the community garden and our yard of mice, rats, gophers, and voles! I have taken stray cats to the Humane Society--but to have them "fixed". I would never abandon one there to be euthanized!! There are ANIMAL RESCUE organizations nearby who glady take them in. The author of the earlier email sadly sounds pretty intolerant. |
