As a parent and alumni I am very upset with this situation. How does it happen that only a handful of our community can dictate when our children can participate in organized sports at one of our schools? There are a lot of taxpayer's in this community that do not know about this in order to voice their opinions and I am sure a majority of them would be appalled. As a 35 year resident of this community I am shocked. When I drive by a school and see it filled with kids I feel safe that they are busy and not in trouble. When I drive by a school and see it empty I worry about what are the kids up to. When kids have time on their hands they go looking for something to do and a lot of times it is not something desirable. I am also shocked at our administrators for backing down to these people as they are supposed to be here for the kids and should be supporting the kids not the 10-12 people complaining.

Most athletes use their sport to keep their grades at desirable level otherwise they would not care. Should we allow these people to effect their complete educational experience?

Who are the right people to contact to get this overturned?

Thank you,

Toni Morris
