This project will get dragged through every kind of EIR known to mankind. It can't possibly be a major polluter or it simply won't be built.

I think we would be much better off as a neighborhood to work on getting a share of builder funds to improve the neighborhood. Additionally, we should work on getting a share of the big chunk of property tax revenues that this project will generate to be used specifically for neighborhood improvements in our area. Seems to me that we would be better off having a new park, or better streets, or better fire protection than we would be by not having a power plant.
